Winter Extravaganza 2009

Danse Arts Company is proud to announce their partnership with the Chesterfield Community Theater-West County YMCA for our Fourth Annual Winter Extravaganza.  This performance is like non other in town, and raises money for both participating nonprofit organizations.  A family friendly event that keeps all ages engaged and having a fabulous time.  It is a wonderful way to kick of the holiday season for everyone!

Danse Arts Company presents a three act performance that starts at "Santa's Workshop" with elves, dolls, and reindeer,  then celebrate the season with "Winter Bells", and end on a journey through "Ice and Snow" to the "Land of Sweets" with Nutcracker favorites.  Our pre-professional dance company members range in age from 8 years old-18 years old.  We offer an evening of song, dance, and drama for the whole family.  This years production features a new acrobatic Arabian piece choreographed by instructor Lorianne Hagan, special guests Traci Washington and Fernando Borego doing a return perofrmance of a contemporary duet choreographed by Artistic Director Leah Cordiano-Siemens, a solo by instructor Laura Livingston, a lyrical hip hop trip including instructor Rondell Spears (aka 'Duck'), and some more surprises along the way!   Choreographers:  Leah Cordiano-Siemens, Katie McMasters, Debbie Devine, Laura Livingston, Rondell Spears, Lorianne Hagan, Traci Washington-Borrego, and Janet Strukely.  We look forward to another holiday season filled with Wonder, Joy, and Enchantment!

"Seasons on Stage" PDF Print E-mail

This is a unique performance incorporating all styles of dance, and great for the whole family.   Join us as the  Danse Arts Company celebrates  seasonal changes throughout the year  by using creative imagery, emotion, and movement.   When you come to a Danse Arts Company performance you will experience a true "show", not a recital.  Our annual Spring Show changes themes each year, and always takes the audience on a journey.  By incorporating challenging and unique choreography with well-rounded dancers, we are able to present a full length show like no other pre-professional dance company in the area!  

We start our journey in the Fall.  You'll recognize familiar songs that will take you back to school, watch the leaves turn, experience harvest, and remember what the mood is like when the sun is hiding.  As the hazy shade of Winter approaches, enjoy the snow, skating, cool nights, but beware of ice cold hearts.  There will be a 20 minute intermission.  As you enter the theatre again be awakened to the wonders of Spring.  Like we see so much in the midwest, spring brings rain and thunderstorms.  Of course once they are gone we are witness to beautiful clear skies.  When the Summer sun rises there is nothing but flowers, sunshine, vacations, and love.  Just as we experience change throughout our lives, we turn turn turn with the tides of seasons. 

You won't want to miss this production.  It will be a feast for your eyes, ears, and emothions.  Our dancers ranges in age 8-16yrs old, who train year-round.
